Lectures

I am passionate about all aspects of jewelry and gemology and give lectures and webinars on a wide range of jewelry topics. I have given a series of lectures for the Piedmont Center for the Arts, The Francisca Club of San Francisco, the Claremont Country Club in Oakland and the Castine Historical Society in Maine. Most recently, I conducted a webinar for the Appraisers Association of America on Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry collection from the 1950s-70s.

Past lectures:

  • Legacy of Love: A Survey of Mid Century Jewelry from the Collection of Elizabeth Taylor - 1950-1970

  • Legacy of Love: A Survey of Retro and Mid Century Jewelry from the Collections of the Duchess of Windsor & Elizabeth Taylor - 1935-1970 - 2 part lecture

  • All that Glitters - Jewelry from the Gilded Age - 1870-1914

  • Never Copy, Only Innovate - Art Deco Jewelry - 1910-1930s

  • Wearable Art - Studio Jewelry from 1940 to 1980s

Lectures are a fun and effective way to bring together targeted groups of clients, members of a club or people that are interested in collecting or learning more about the luxury market.

If you are interested in booking me for a lecture engagement I am happy to cover one of the topics mentioned above or create a new lecture specifically catered to your needs.
